Q: Can I schedule online if I’m a new client?
A: New clients may call or text (989) 433-6068 to inquire about scheduling. New clients are accepted on a limited basis and must be referred by an existing client, healthcare provider, wellness professional, or trusted personal contact. Online scheduling will be available to new clients after their first appointment.
Q: What counts as a referral?
A: A referral is the name of an existing client, healthcare provider, wellness professional, or trusted personal contact who is familiar with my work and has directed you to schedule an appointment. When reaching out, please include their name and contact information so I can verify the referral and determine if I have availability.
Q: I'm a Clare Family Fitness member -- can I schedule an appointment?
A: Mission : Massage is an independent practice. Fitness center membership does not extend to massage appointments. New clients are accepted on a limited basis and must be referred by an existing client, healthcare provider, wellness professional, or trusted personal contact.
GIFT CERTIFICATES:
Q: Can anyone buy a gift certificate?
A: Gift certificates are available for purchase by existing Mission : Massage clients only.
Q: Can the recipient of a gift certificate schedule if they’ve never been to Mission : Massage?
A: Yes — gift certificate recipients may schedule since the gift certificate itself acts as the referral by an existing Mission : Massage client.
CANCELLATIONS:
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Please cancel appointments at least 24 hours in advance. Clients who cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice more than once may be restricted from scheduling future appointments.
OTHER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: How long are massage sessions?
A: Your appointment time includes a few minutes for check-in and transition so your session can begin and end calmly. A 60-minute appointment includes 50 minutes of hands-on work, and a 90-minute appointment includes 80 minutes of hands-on work.
Q: Do you offer couples’ sessions?
A: Since I am a solo practitioner, I do not have the capacity to offer couples massages at this time. With some planning and coordination with a fellow therapist, I may be able to schedule something with 30- to 45-days notice.
Q: Do you offer on-site massage appointments?
A: For existing clients, on-site massage appointments may be coordinated. Price to be negotiated when scheduling and depends on distance traveled, number of massages, and duration of massages. Examples include: individual massage and group settings (like chair massage for employee appreciation days or massages for a group like a "girlfriend's weekend".)
Q: Do you offer deep tissue or sports massage?
A: Mission : Massage focuses on relaxation and comfort-focused massage. Deep tissue or sports-style massages are not offered.
Q: Do you offer same-day appointments?
A: Same-day appointments are rarely available. Mission : Massage is usually booked at least three weeks in advance.
Q: Do you have a waitlist for openings?
A: Mission : Massage does not maintain a waitlist. Due to high demand, I recommend booking at least three weeks in advance to secure your preferred appointment time.
